So what is Quarter Midget Racing?
Quarter Midget racing race on oval tracks approx.. 1/20 of a mile and can be on surfaces from concrete to asphalt and even dirt tracks. Quarter Midget racing starts at age 5 and ends 16 and is a family motor sport. Quarter midget racing has fewer injuries than youth baseball, football and soccer. Injuries happen in all sports but the likelihood of it happening in a Quarter Midget race is unlikely. Safety features include full roll cages, multi-point seat harnesses, full-face helmets, fire proof racing suits, HANS Gear (Head and Neck Safety and additional safety gear. The Quarter Midget Association is continually reviewing and evaluating safety rules to ensure that quarter midget racing remains a safe, yet competitive sport. QM racing promotes sportsmanship, working together as a family and is 100% about the kids.
